TO MAKE A GASKET:
1. Clean both flange surfaces. Remove paint, dirt, grease or old gasket completely.
2. Spray Permatex Surface Prep® activator on one surface only. Allow to dry 1-2
minutes. 3. Apply a continuous bead of sealant to the unprimed surface. 4. Assemble
mating surfaces with minimal lateral movement. Excess sealant can be wiped away
with a cloth and shop solvent.
TO DRESS A GASKET:
1. Clean both flange surfaces. Remove paint, dirt, grease or old gasket completely.
2. Spray Permatex Surface Prep® activator to both flange surfaces. Allow to dry 1-2
minutes. 3. Completely cover both sides of the precut gasket with sealant. 4. Place
coated gasket on flange, and assemble mating surfaces with minimal lateral movement.
